Loft District Condo Renovation
With the building’s history as a fabric manufacturing facility in the early 20th century, existing hardwood floors were to remain as part of this condominium kitchen remodel. The design approach was to use a restrained palette with bright white cabinetry and charcoal quartz countertop. Triangular wall tile was selected for its unique pattern but used in an off-white color. The U-shaped countertop was fabricated to be extra deep along the adjacent bar and dining area for counter stool seating. New professional grade appliances and exhaust hood were installed.
The bathroom was completely renovated with stone effect porcelain tile, white freestanding vanity and frameless mirror. Matte, teal-colored ceramic tile with high variation was selected for visual impact. An existing tub was removed with flooring substrate repaired, self-leveled, and waterproofed for a new frameless glass shower with tiled curb and linear floor drain.
