Bathroom Addition
As a late add-on addition to the top floor of this rowhome, we were challenged with an exterior wall with less than desirable sight lines to the dense housing beyond, an ever-so-slightly sloped ceiling/roof assembly, and a compact square footprint. We decided to leave the sloped ceiling alone and focus on maximizing the feel of the space with a tile floor that extends into the shower and a large, statement custom vanity.
The vanity was fabricated with solid and veneer walnut with steel trim and composite concrete integral sink top. Gray-green fish scale tile was selected with the remaining finishes restrained. An existing double-hung mirror above the toilet was removed and replaced with a higher linear window to maximize privacy for the client.
